One might broadly categorize RV Parks as either:
A stopover RV Park: Typically a stop over park is located just off of a major highway which RV’ers visit for a night or two on their way to a final destination.
A destination RV Park: Typically a destination park is where RV’ers are going to spend their vacation.
WHAT TO EXPECT FROM YOUR STAY AT MARTENS RESORT AND RV PARK?
One of our RV campers had this to say:
“Our new happy place! Expect a clean, unpretentious lakefront RV Park in a natural setting. Great park, great lake - we highly recommend”.
The Knights
Most RV’ers typically travel to our campground to enjoy a lakefront vacation. Martens Resort offers over 1100 feet of Timothy Lake shoreline in beautiful Lac La Hache, BC. We offer several docks for campers who wish to bring their boats. Timothy Lake is a great fishing lake, with plenty of prized Kokanee and Rainbow Trout.
For those travelling without boats, the resort rents fishing boats and also offers a non-motorized watercraft package which includes canoes, kayaks, paddle boards and lake floaties.
The lake is approximately 8 km's long and considered one of the hidden gems in BC's South Cariboo.
We are a family friendly and dog friendly RV Park. We have lots of green space for throwing around a ball, frisbee or setting up your favourite lawn games. The resort also offers several lawn games to enjoy during your stay. We have a nature trail that circles the resort and if you're with us in July or August you are welcome to pick some Saskatoon Berries from the sides of the trail.
Families enjoy our playground and kids both young and old enjoy a variety of yard games, from horseshoes, to corn hole, bocce and volley ball.
We welcome campers to get back to basics and reconnect with nature. Play in the lake, play with the kids, or grand kids and enjoy the simple pleasure of roasting a hotdog over a campfire.
Our RV Sites can accommodate some of today’s largest RV’s. RV Sites 1-8 are located on the right side of the property and are all full service sites, including hydro (30 amp), water and sewer. Sites 1-8 are capable of fitting RV’s up to 40 feet in length, but 35 feet and smaller is a more comfortable size. There is a row of cabins between these RV sites and the lake, so campers enjoy varied water views, from glimpses to fairly open.
RV Site 9 is located right behind the beach. This site is a favourite amongst our campers as it offers unobstructed views of the lake, not to mention, it puts you right in the action of some people watching. Site 9 can fit any size RV, so if you have a 40+ foot fifth wheel or a huge travel trailer this is a good RV site to book. Site 9 is a full service site, including hydro (30 amp), water and sewer.
RV Sites 10-19 are all premium lakefront RV sites. Not only will you enjoy wide open lakefront views, you’ll also have access to the water right from your RV site. Sites 10 to 17 feature private docks and are full service RV sites with hydro (30 amp), water and sewer.
Site 18 to 21 are all power and water sites so come to the resort with empty tanks and feel free to use our onsite sani-dump when needed.
Site 18 is a beautiful waterfront site for RV’s under 30 feet in length and offers power and water. Bringing a kayak, paddle board or a canoe? You can launch your toys right from your site.
Site 19 is right beside site 18 and is also a lakefront Site. Site 19 is the last RV site on the property, so campers searching for extra privacy like to target this special spot. RV Site 19 can handle any sized RV and comes with water and power.
RV Sites 20 and 21 are located just in front of the playgrounds. These are pull through sites and are favourites for novice RV’ers who prefer not to back up, or those with large RV’s and/or kids. Site 20 and 21 offer power and water.
RV Sites 22-25 are full service RV sites located on the left side of the property. There is a row of RV’s in-front of these sites so campers enjoy a range of lake views, from glimpses to pretty good. These are large sites, again comfortable for any size RV. There is lots of green space behind these RV sites where campers often choose to have a communal fire or play a game of bocce ball. If you are travelling with friends who are tenting, these are great sites to select as our tenting sites are located close by.
PICNIC TABLES
We provide picnic tables for all RV Sites.
FIRE PITS
All RV sites come with a fire pit and you can find firewood for sale at the camp store.
LAUNDRY
Laundry facilities are available for guests.
DRINKING WATER
While many RV parks throughout BC draw their drinking water from the lake, which requires campers to boil water prior to drinking, our water comes from an artesian well, providing clean drinking water year round.
CAMP STORE
Visit the ever-expanding camp store for camping essentials, things you may have forgotten, or a souvenir to celebrate and remember your stay.
